How To Motivate People –
The 3 Types Of Motivation

“Why won’t they do what I ask?” How To Motivate People
“How come no one else is as excited as me”
“What do I have to do to make people take action”

Kinda sucks when you would like others to get as excited about a business opportunity as you are, yet for some reason…The energy never really translates.

You ask yourself what the secrets are for how to motivate people to join your business, buy your product, or get interested in your services and you immediately think…

“If I convince them about how much money they can earn, or how much money they can save, I’ll get them!…Right?”…

Well no not exactly. As you’ve been growing up, you’ve probably learned through experience that rewards make people do stuff. Sounds logical enough?

But as I’ve recently been learning in an excellent book I’ve been reading called “Drive – The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us”, the incentives of money, or gifts, or STUFF in general is actually only a short-term motivator and actually HINDERS long-term performance.

What’s worse still, is the fact that if you enjoy doing something so much that you don’t need incentive to do it, when an incentive is introduced to try to motivate you, it actually can DECREASE your creativity and performance. It also LOWERS your desire to do that very activity…

Yes…that same one that you were willing to do for free, actually becomes less appealing and fun when someone tries to pay you to do it. You may find that hard to believe but if you read the book Drive, you’ll see exactly why this phenomenon is so, and can better use it to your advantage.

So, How To Motivate People?

In today’s video below, I go through the 3 types of motivation that we experience, and the third one is the most powerful of all (not to mention cost efficient for all the business owners out there)

How To Motivate People – The 3 Types Of Motivation

Pretty cool right? If you’re anything like me, this may have been your first time learning these 3 ways on how to motivate people. I admit though, the book does a much better job at explaining it than I was able to in this 5 minute video. They go through detailed studies and tests that have been done with both humans and animals to find out the extent of our motivational factors and so on.

Knowledge really is power 🙂

If you learned something new today I’d appreciate you leaving a comment and sharing it on facebook

These entail some calculations to arrive at a rate or percentage.
Another important by product of goal setting is that you will find yourself

First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick
question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself
and clear your mind prior to writing. I’ve had
difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Many thanks!
