MLM Prospecting usually (always) requires you to be in control and leading the conversation in order to pull off an impression of leadership and authority. But things don’t always work out that way for you does it? Why?

MLM Prospecting: How To Lead A Conversation

I’ve seen a lot of people use the “Ask them if they have questions, and than answer it” tactic to try to impress their prospect into joining their team or business venture, and that’s exactly where so many go wrong

If you want maintain control, and eventually build a connection you’ll need to know a few things:

1) Understand that question answering only forces you into a ” Yes Sir, right away Sir” position. Which ultimately leads to you loosing control of the conversation

2) Know that whatever questions they have, it’s probably not what is preventing them from joining. They are really just waiting for you to give a response that they can use to justify in their own mind why they would fail if they joined….OR

They are looking for an opening to use against you to say why they can’t join.

3) Always remember that it is YOU who has the business venture that is being offered. You start out with the power. You have the solution. You should be asking them the questions…they have the decision to make. Not the other way around.

MLM Prospecting: Creating A Connection

It’s a common belief that the more information you know about the product/service/business venture, the better off you’ll be when mlm prospecting

Well, it could actually be the exact opposite because the more information you have while mlm prospecting, the more likely it is that you’ll talk your prospects ear off, and end up giving information instead of taking information.

Get this… for you to create a connection with your prospect, you have to identify with their wants, needs and desires. So your goal isn’t to GIVE information. Your goal is to GET information from them.

You want to dig down deep and find out what their problem is, so that you can present your solution to them (your product, service, business venture)

Here’s The BIG MLM Prospecting Challenge Most People Face…

Sometimes though, the person you are talking with has a background, or experience in a field that you can’t possibly relate to, and he/she is doubtful that they will be able to succeed in network marketing with an unrelated background to MLM workingย  in (entertainment, trades, architecture etc whatever) .

So the solution to get over this obstacle is what I’m going over in today’s video below. It’s a psychological key to building a connection and bridge with a prospect that you have NOTHING in common with that you can use to get them to trust what you are offering, and join your team with a smile.

Wouldn’t that be so much easier than trying to convince them that you understand their situation based off some irrelevant experience you once had in an industry kind of similar to theirs? That’s the difference between MLM prospecting, and prospecting in different industries.
